Season 4 Episode 5-Role of Oncology Social Worker
This week we sit down with Neshama Marcus, LMSW to discuss the role of the social worker in oncology care. Neshama joined Astera Cancer Care in 2022 as the Director of Social Work to build a social work department in a multi-site oncology/hematology practice New Jersey.
Neshama received her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and her master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University School of Social Work, with a concentration in Non-Profit and Public Management. She also has her post-graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Rutgers University, as well as a post-graduate Certificate in Grief Counseling.
